Marrying a Thai national and applying for a Non-Immigrant O Marriage visa requires multiple translated and certified documents. Here is the 2026 checklist used by ILC clients.
Pre-marriage documents
- Single-status affidavit from your embassy in Bangkok
- Passport copy (certified)
- Divorce decree (if applicable) — translated and legalized
- Income proof or bank statement
Translation & MFA
All English-language documents must be translated to Thai by a certified translator and certified at the Thai MFA before Amphoe will register the marriage.
After registration
Apply for the 90-day Non-O at any Thai Immigration office, then convert to a 1-year extension. See our visa country guide for embassy-specific affidavit requirements.
