Process overview
Registering a marriage in China as a Thai national involves five phases: (1) collect Thai civil documents (2) certified translation + Thai MFA legalization (ILC handles end-to-end) (3) counter-legalization at the China embassy in Bangkok if not an Apostille state (4) attend the ceremony at Bureau of Civil Affairs (民政局), and (5) repatriate the certificate into the Thai household registry via Kor Ror 22 so it is recognized under Thai family law.
Thai-side documents required
- หนังสือรับรองความเป็นโสด (สนง.ทะเบียนเขต/อำเภอ)
- สูติบัตร (Birth Certificate)
- บัตรประชาชน + ทะเบียนบ้าน
- หนังสือเดินทาง
- หนังสือเปลี่ยนชื่อ/สกุล (ถ้ามี)
- ใบหย่า/มรณบัตรคู่สมรสเดิม (ถ้ามี)

After the ceremony
นำ Marriage Certificate ปลายทาง → แปลไทย → รับรองสถานทูตไทยปลายทาง หรือ MFA ไทย → ยื่นบันทึกฐานะแห่งครอบครัว (คร.22) ที่อำเภอ/เขตในไทย

ต้องแต่งในเมืองที่คู่จีนมีทะเบียนบ้าน (Hukou)
