Registering a marriage in Hong Kong as a Thai national involves five phases: (1) collect Thai civil documents (2) certified translation + Thai MFA legalization (ILC handles end-to-end) (3) counter-legalization at the Hong Kong embassy in Bangkok if not an Apostille state (4) attend the ceremony at Marriage Registry (Immigration Department), and (5) repatriate the certificate into the Thai household registry via Kor Ror 22 so it is recognized under Thai family law.
