How much stamp duty does a power of attorney need in Thailand?

Under item 7 of the Stamp Duty Schedule to the Revenue Code: a power of attorney authorising one or more persons to perform a single act carries THB 10 of stamp duty; authorising more than one act carries THB 30; and where several appointees may each act separately, duty is THB 30 per appointee — per Revenue Department rulings KorKhor 0702/3447 and 0702/10395. A power of attorney appointing a lawyer, or one a lawyer gives to their own clerk to conduct a court case, is exempt. Some agencies use their own forms (the Land Department uses form TorDor 21). For use abroad, the document usually also needs notarisation and legalisation at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and the destination embassy.
