ILC-NAATI-MD11

NAATI medical certificate translation | Records, not a health examination

A medical certificate, treatment history and laboratory report are different records. Translation conveys the issuer’s statements; it does not diagnose a condition or certify fitness to travel.

Illustration of document preparation, not actual company personnel or official records
Generated illustration, not evidence of actual personnel, premises or official documents.

Identify the medical record requested for this purpose

Send every page, heading and issue date with the school, insurer or authority’s actual request. Distinguish certificates, clinical reports and test results rather than choosing evidence from a service label.

If a prescribed form or nominated physician is required, clarify that first. A sick-leave certificate may not be the record needed for another application.

Keep diagnoses, medicine details and units faithful to the record

Check patient identity, dates, issuer, diagnosis, dosage, units and reference ranges. Ask the issuer to clarify handwriting or abbreviations rather than guessing a medical condition.

Do not invent SNOMED or ICD-10 codes or substitute generic medicine names not established by the source. Distinguish translator notes from the clinician’s statements so they cannot appear to be new medical opinions.

Do not substitute language work for visa health examinations

Home Affairs specifies health examination arrangements and relevant panel physicians. Translating an existing record does not clear a health requirement, create a HAP ID or replace an instructed examination.

A history supplied for an examination and evidence for an insurance claim have different purposes. The recipient applies its requirements; translation does not confirm coverage or advise on medicines.

Check linguistic credentials and limit health-data disclosure

Where NAATI is required, verify the assigned practitioner’s CPN, certification and language direction. CCL is not professional translator certification, and translator credentials are not a medical licence.

Agree a channel for sensitive records and send only necessary information. Do not post medical history in public fields or disclose hospital-account passwords.

Scope clear records before accepting a quotation

Identify language direction, pages, forms and appointment date. Obtaining a new hospital report, completing medical forms and copy certification are not automatically included.

Contact our team for a quotation. Agree delivery and corrections if the clinician replaces the source; no fixed completion time or health result is promised.

Questions before commissioning

Does translation replace a visa medical examination?

No. Follow the health instructions for your application. Translation is not an examination or clearance.

Can the translator guess unclear medical handwriting?

No. Obtain a legible copy or issuer clarification before translating a diagnosis, medicine or unit.

Can a missing diagnostic code be added?

Do not invent a code or opinion absent from the source. Ask the issuer separately if more information is required.
