Always the spelling in your current Thai passport. If you have changed your name or older documents use a different romanisation, send the name-change certificate too so officers in Sydney can link the whole document chain to one person.

The NAATI translation itself does not expire, but receiving bodies often require certain originals — police clearance or a single-status certificate, for example — to be issued within 3–6 months of lodgement. Always check the current requirement of the receiving authority.

For most Australian government purposes the NAATI translation alone is sufficient. Some uses — marriage registration or court proceedings — may additionally require legalisation by the Department of Consular Affairs. Send us the documents first and we will confirm the exact chain.
