Service overview

Judgments are the least forgiving documents in legal translation: a single mistranslated operative clause can change what a foreign authority believes was decided. Our translators work only within civil, criminal, family, labour, administrative and bankruptcy judgments, and every page is reviewed by a legal consultant before release. Case numbers, hearing dates, party names, court seals and the exact wording of the operative part are preserved, and the layout is set parallel to the original so a foreign registrar or consular officer can compare the two side by side without hunting for the corresponding paragraph. We are frequently asked for divorce judgments used in spouse-visa applications, judgments enforced abroad, and judgments supporting estate administration in another jurisdiction. Where a certified translation alone will not be enough, we tell you at quotation stage what further legalisation the receiving country normally requires — we would rather lose a small job than have you pay twice.

Typical use cases

  • Spouse or partner visa applications requiring a divorce judgment
  • Enforcement of a Thai judgment in a foreign court
  • Estate administration abroad
  • Citizenship or residency applications requiring court records

How the process runs

  1. Send the court-certified copy of the judgment
  2. Scan check, page and word count
  3. Translation with parallel formatting against the original
  4. Legal terminology review with consultant sign-off
  5. certified translator seal applied
  6. Delivery of signed PDF plus hard copy

Prefer not to manage any of this yourself? Send the file and we run the whole chain — translation, certification, consular legalisation and embassy submission — and report back at each stage. Call 092-0170000, LINE @THAIL or email contact@thailaw-accounting.co.th.

FAQ

Can you handle a divorce judgment for a German or French embassy submission?
Yes. The usual chain is Certified Translation, then Department of Consular Affairs legalisation, then the destination embassy. We handle all three steps and keep you updated at each stage.
Do you need the original judgment?
A court-certified copy is normally sufficient. Thai courts issue certified copies with the court seal on request, and that is what most receiving authorities expect to see behind the translation.
Is there a volume arrangement for very long judgments?
Yes. Long judgments are quoted with a volume reduction, and we assign a two-translator team with a shared glossary so terminology stays consistent across the whole document.
