NAATI transcript translation | Subjects, grades and source credits
A transcript translation preserves the academic results recorded by the institution. It is not a new GPA calculation, Australian credit conversion or qualification assessment.

Include the grading key and all pages
Supply the subject pages, grading explanations and reverse-side notes. Identify whether the record is interim or issued after completion; a cropped GPA summary is not a complete transcript.
If the institution already issues an English transcript, show it alongside the recipient’s requirements before deciding whether further translation is needed.
Preserve repeated subjects and source terminology
Check subject codes, titles, credits, semesters, grades and cumulative results against the source. Withdrawals, repeated courses and transferred credits should not disappear because only favourable results were selected.
Use the institution’s own explanation for abbreviations. An unreadable scan needs replacement, not guessed grades or invented meanings.
Separate translation from equivalence decisions
Do not add Australian credit equivalents or recalculate a GPA to meet a target. The translation records the units and results stated by the issuer.
Admission, credit transfer and skills assessment are decisions for the relevant recipient. Course descriptions or other evidence may be needed separately; translating a transcript does not complete every assessment file.
Follow the actual institution’s translator rules
Provide the current checklist of the university or assessor. Where NAATI is requested, verify the assigned practitioner’s CPN, certification and language direction instead of assuming every institution has the same rules.
CCL is not professional translator certification. Home Affairs visa-document guidance does not replace a university’s admission or an assessor’s qualification requirements.
Clarify official delivery versus translated copies
Confirm whether the recipient requests electronic copies, paper or direct issue by the institution. A translated file does not become an institution-issued sealed transcript.
Contact our team for a quotation based on the actual pages, language pair and additional tasks. Agree corrections for a replacement source; no admission outcome or fixed turnaround is promised.
Questions before commissioning
Will the translator convert my GPA?
Not automatically. Preserve the issuer’s grades and grading notes; any equivalence decision belongs to the relevant assessor.
Do I need translation of an existing English transcript?
Check the recipient’s requirements first. Further translation is not presumed necessary for every English-language record.
Does translation guarantee a positive skills assessment?
No. Assessment depends on the recipient’s criteria and the full supporting evidence, not translation alone.
