NAATI contract translation | Signed versions, schedules and recipient rules
Contract translation conveys the supplied terms. It does not draft clauses, repair unfavourable terms or certify enforceability in place of legal advice.

Distinguish drafts from executed contracts and amendments
Send all clauses, signature pages, schedules and amendments. Identify contract type and the recipient’s purpose, whether employment, lease, sale or another agreement.
Do not combine an old draft with signed pages into an apparently single agreement. Identify versions and dates, then agree which records will be translated.
Retain defined terms, parties and internal references
Check names, company details, signing capacities, definitions, clause references, dates, payment and termination. Summaries must not remove qualifications affecting rights.
Amounts in a client’s contract are source content, not company service prices. Flag ambiguity or missing schedules rather than inventing statutes or repairing the deal.
Separate a faithful translation from enforceability advice
Translation, legal review, negotiation and advice are different services. Linguistic accuracy does not establish signing authority or a clause’s effect under governing law.
For litigation, supply actual court directions or a checklist. Declarations and witness requirements depend on the proceeding; one format is not universally accepted.
Check language credentials and the requested certification method
Where NAATI is needed, verify CPN, certification and language direction. CCL is not professional translator certification, and this is not a licence for legal advice.
Agree declarations, signatures, stamps and attachments from the actual request. Notarising a party’s signature or legalising documents is separate from translation.
Agree version control and confidential delivery in the quotation
Specify language direction, pages, schedules, format and appointment date. If negotiations continue, agree how new clauses or pages affect the scope.
Contact our team for a quotation. Agree checking and confidential channels; no fixed price, completion period, court result or recipient approval is promised.
Questions before commissioning
Can I send only the signature page?
Full translation needs terms and schedules. Signatures alone do not show the agreement.
Will the translator improve unfavourable clauses?
Legal advice and amendments need separate instructions. Preserve the source rather than silently change it.
Does NAATI guarantee acceptance by any court?
No. Check the court and proceeding’s requirements, including declarations and witnesses.
