NAATI Thai ID translation | Both sides, names and card dates

A Thai ID translation conveys the information visible on the supplied card. It is not a newly issued identity document and does not restore the validity of an expired card.

Illustration of document preparation, not actual company personnel or official records
Generated illustration, not evidence of actual personnel, premises or official documents.

Provide readable images of both card faces

Photograph both sides in colour with the edges visible and without glare over the text. Identify the receiving authority and purpose before choosing the ID rather than another identity record.

A cropped name is not a complete source. If the recipient permits particular redactions, clarify them first rather than obscuring text the translator is expected to translate.

Preserve the card number and date wording

Check the English spelling on the card alongside relevant supporting records. Retain the identification number, birth date, issue date and actual expiry wording; do not invent an expiry date when the source uses a different notation.

Flag passport spelling differences and supply relevant name evidence. Do not alter source names or numbers to make separate records appear consistent.

Distinguish the recorded address from current residence

Translate the address on the card, not an updated address supplied verbally. A recipient may require a separate household record or other address evidence.

Translation does not renew the ID, substitute for a passport or complete the recipient’s identity checks. A photo translation is not authentication of the underlying card.

Verify certification for the actual ID translation

Where NAATI is requested, verify the assigned practitioner’s CPN, certification status and language direction. A CCL result is not professional translator certification.

Apply Home Affairs guidance only where relevant to the actual visa request, alongside its checklist. Do not assume identical stamps or copy-certification steps for every recipient.

Limit sensitive card data and agree the scope

Contact our team for a quotation based on the actual images, records and delivery format. Do not provide extra login-related card codes, passwords or OTPs for translation.

Agree source attachments, corrections and any separate certification. Tell staff if a replacement card changes the source; no fixed fee or completion time is advertised.

Questions before commissioning

Can I send only the front of the ID?

Send both sides for review and clarify recipient requirements before scoping the work.

Does the translation replace a passport?

No. The receiving authority specifies which identity documents it needs.

Will translating an expired card make it valid?

No. Check renewal with the issuer and document requirements with the recipient before commissioning.
