NAATI RRV 155/157 translations | Travel facility and supporting records
A Resident Return Visa concerns returning to Australia as a permanent resident. It is not a generic translation-based renewal of permanent residence. Check your visa and travel facility before selecting records.

Distinguish remaining in Australia from re-entry rights
Home Affairs distinguishes indefinite stay as a permanent resident from re-entry with a valid travel facility. Check your actual visa information before planning overseas travel.
The legacy PR Renewal label must not imply everyone renews their right to remain through translation. Check the current 155 and 157 criteria for the actual circumstances.
Select residence or ties evidence for the relevant criterion
Identify the requested residence, ties or absence-related evidence. Statements, tax records, leases and Medicare records are not a fixed universal checklist.
Translating ties evidence does not determine whether ties are substantial or beneficial to Australia. The recipient assesses evidence and application criteria.
Preserve dates, addresses and the recorded person
Supply complete records for the requested period. Check prior names, addresses, issue dates and reporting periods. Property ownership does not prove daily physical residence.
A partner’s or company’s record is not automatically the applicant’s record. Provide separate evidence of relevance; translation does not reconstruct an undocumented travel history.
Verify language credentials without certifying travel eligibility
Where required, check the actual translator’s CPN, certification and language direction. CCL is not professional translator certification.
Use official visa records and authorised advice for status questions. A translation stamp does not establish travel eligibility. RRV lodgement and assessment are separate.
Quote necessary translations rather than unrelated services
Separate existing English evidence from records requiring translation. Specify recipients and current requests. Citizenship or tax-residency work is not included merely because similar records arise.
Contact our team for a quotation. A travel date informs feasibility assessment; it is not a commitment to complete work or secure an RRV by that date.
Questions before commissioning
Does an expired travel facility always end permanent residence?
Do not equate the two. Remaining in Australia and re-entering are distinct; check official guidance for your visa.
Must every applicant translate Medicare records and leases?
No universal bundle applies. Check relevant evidence and records already in English.
Does translation certify substantial ties?
No. It conveys source records; the recipient assesses ties and eligibility.
