NAATI Student visa 500 document set | Education and visa requirements
A student document set starts with the applicant’s and provider’s actual requests, not six documents everyone must translate. Admission, a CoE and visa assessment are separate processes.

Separate education-provider requests from visa evidence
Provide the institution’s list and Home Affairs requirements separately. Identify the primary applicant or dependant, language direction and existing English records. Do not order civil or academic records merely because an old bundle listed them.
A Confirmation of Enrolment and an offer letter are different records. Translating qualifications does not issue a CoE, and a CoE does not guarantee a visa. Check current requirements for the actual application.
Consult Genuine Student guidance rather than an old GTE bundle
Check current Home Affairs Genuine Student questions and evidence guidance. Translate the applicant’s supplied answers without inventing educational history, employment or reasons for study.
Language work is not migration advice or confirmation that the criterion is met. The recipient evaluates the evidence; an old article or complete-package label is not a current checklist.
Reconcile education records with financial evidence
Check prior and current names, dates of birth, courses, completion dates and relevant accounts. Distinguish transcripts, awards, completion letters and statements. Do not automatically convert grades or currencies.
Sponsor and applicant records belong to different people. Describe relationships only from evidence; a bank balance or its translation does not establish access to funds.
Specify credentials, declarations and separate services
Where NAATI is required, check the actual practitioner’s CPN, certification and language direction. CCL is not professional translator certification. Requirements can depend on applicant location and recipient.
Copy certification, legalisation, health examinations, insurance, admission and visa lodgement are not included by a translation-set label. Agree any separate work and deliverables explicitly.
Request a quotation against an agreed document inventory
List record names, issuers, pages, current versions and each recipient. Communicate appointments for assessment, not as an implied commitment to meet them.

Questions before commissioning
Does everyone need six translated documents?
No. Use the application and provider’s actual requests. Check whether existing English records need any further translation.
Does the translation service issue a CoE?
No. The education provider issues the CoE through its own process. Translation is neither admission nor CoE issuance.
Should an old GTE form be used?
Check current Genuine Student guidance and the actual application instead of treating a legacy form as complete.
