Service overview
Wills and powers of attorney fail abroad for predictable reasons: a role such as executor, trustee or beneficiary is rendered with a term the destination legal system does not recognise, a revocation clause is softened, or the document is translated before the underlying certification chain has been completed and has to be redone. This service is built around avoiding exactly those outcomes. We align terminology with the destination system, whether that is the United States, the United Kingdom or an EU civil-law jurisdiction, and we advise on the certification order before translation begins rather than after. It covers last wills and testaments, general and specific powers of attorney, consent letters for a child travelling with one parent, and medical consent letters. Short documents are quoted as a set rather than per page. If your matter involves both an estate and property, tell us both — the sequence differs and doing them in the wrong order is the most common and most expensive mistake we correct.

FAQ
- Can a will made in Thailand be used abroad?
- Many jurisdictions accept it once it is certified, translated and legalised for that country, but the receiving probate authority has the final say. We prepare the documentation chain; we do not promise how a foreign court will rule.
- Which comes first, translation or legalisation?
- The source-side certification chain must be complete before translation, otherwise the translation will not match the final sealed document and will have to be redone.
- Is a short power of attorney charged per page?
- Short documents are quoted as a set rather than per page, which is usually the cheaper route for a one or two page instrument.
